The International Centre for China Development Studies (ICCDS) was established in June 2002 by the Department of Geography (HKU), and the Institute of Geographic Sciences and Natural Resources Research (Chinese Academy of Sciences). It is composed of a multidisciplinary team of researchers and professionals, aiming to promote international multi-disciplinary collaborative research and training on the broad issues of China’s development in the current era of globalization. Some key research fields include China’s Sustainable Development, Environmental Economics, Urban Green-Blue Infrastructure, Urban and Regional Development in China, Land Property Rights in China, Transnationalism and Chinese Diaspora, Social/Cultural Geography of China, Public policy, Public Space, Religion and Place Politics.
