Finance and Enterprises Office |
The Student Unit of the Finance and Enterprises Office (FEO), which is located on 1/F, Knowles Building, is available to offer assistance to students in relation to financial matters such as fees, University charges and payment of scholarship, bursary, and loan awards, etc. Details of fees and charges are available to individual students for viewing through the Student Information System (SIS). Payment must be made by the due date as stated in the student invoice. For details of the payment methods available, please visit the website at http://www.hku.hk/local/finance/student/payment_instructions.pdf. A student who has not paid his/her fees within 30 days after the due date shall be de-registered and prohibited from using University facilities and services. For subsequent reinstatement of student status, the student will have to pay a surcharge of 10% of the outstanding fees, or $500, whichever is the lesser. In addition, the student may be required to compensate the University for any loss of interest for any late payment or non-payment of fees. Payment of scholarships, bursaries and loans and any refunds to a student is normally made directly to the student's bank account, accompanied by a notification e-mail to the student’s University email account. You are therefore required to open a savings or current account with a bank of your choice in Hong Kong and enter your bank account details during the online registration process. You may amend or update your bank account details through SIS at any time during your study with the University. For any difficulties encountered when using the SIS, please contact Information Technology Services by e-mail at ithelp@hku.hk or by phone at 3917 0123.
