The University believes that general education has to be based on awakening students' intrinsic motivation or inner drive to learn and to learn how to learn. CEDARS-GE offers a wide range of co-curricular and non-credit bearing courses and programmes for all students, in which prominent speakers, community leaders, and individuals with outstanding achievement in various sectors are invited to run courses and share insights with students. Local, regional and global issues are discussed under the We Are The World series. GEST (GE Student Team) programmes, including Happy Thursday – Tea from Around the World, Global Kitchen, Global News Chat, and Curator’s Gig and Exhibition, encourage students to host and create something new with GE and facilitate students with different nationalities mingle and learn other cultures. F:A:C:E: (Fascinating Arts and Cultural Experiences) supports students’ creative projects and enriches campus life and learning with more intimate and interactive encounters of arts and culture. Green Living Lifestyle welcomes you to join our Organic Farm and Herb Garden, and learn to grow edible plants with a holistic approach of wellness and mindfulness on campus. Besides, the Gatherland is a cosy place for student activities and students can drop by to enjoy music, movie and tea.
