Non-academic Induction Programme

The Non-academic Induction Programme organised by the Centre of Development and Resources for Students (CEDARS) will take place throughout the year. At the end of the programme, new students will:
(i)

have a better understanding of the aims of university education |
(ii) |
be encouraged to explore their character strengths and ideal university life, |
(iii) |
be better integrated into the HKU campus life, |
(iv) |
have a deeper appreciation of the relationship between HKU and the local community, and |
(v) |
develop a higher awareness of global issues and global responsibilities. |
The Induction Programme consists of High Table Dinners, intellectually stimulating talks, networking sessions, group discussions, community visits, person enrichment workshops, and provides self-help resources to enable first-year students to integrate into university life in a meaningful, challenging and enjoyable manner.
