The largest amount of financial assistance is provided by the Government Tertiary Student Finance Scheme for Publicly-funded Programme (TSFS) which is a means-tested grant and loan scheme administered by the Government Student Finance Office (SFO). If you need financial assistance for your studies at the University, you are strongly encouraged to apply for TSFS. A Non-means-tested Loan Scheme for Full-time Tertiary Students (NLSFT) is also available for application by students who do not want to rely on family support or who have difficulty in applying for the means-tested TSFS Scheme. The relevant application information can be found on the SFO website at http://www.wfsfaa.gov.hk/sfo. Students are required to submit the completed online form to SFO direct through the SFO’s electronic platform. The deadline for application for TSFS/NLSFT for new students is September 18, 2015. CEDARS also provides to all first time TSFS applicants a form filling advisory service.
