The University administers numerous scholarships and prizes which are primarily merit-based. Further information is available on the Academic Advising and Scholarships Office website (https://aas.hku.hk). For scholarships that accept open applications, calls for applications will be announced via bulk emails by either the Academic Advising and Scholarships Office or the relevant Faculty/Department. The Academic Advising and Scholarships Office also publicises internal and external schemes on its website (under “Apply for Scholarship”). Students are advised to visit the website regularly for the latest news, application procedures and related information. Some scholarships are awarded on the basis of nominations from Faculties/Departments, and students do not need to apply for these separately.
