The Non-academic Induction Programme organised by the Centre of Development and Resources for Students (CEDARS) will take place throughout the year. At the end of the programme, new students will:

(i)
have a better understanding of the aims of university education
(ii) be encouraged to explore their character strengths and ideal university life,
(iii) be better integrated into the HKU campus life,
(iv) have a deeper appreciation of the relationship between HKU and the local community, and
(v) develop a higher awareness of global issues and global responsibilities.

The Induction Programme consists of High Table Dinners, intellectually stimulating talks, networking sessions, group discussions, community visits, person enrichment workshops, and provides self-help resources to enable first-year students to integrate into university life in a meaningful, challenging and enjoyable manner.
