After having accepted the University’s offer of admission and paid the required deposit, on first admission to a curriculum of study, a student is required to register with the University. A student should:

(a) 
refer to the registration procedures as stated in http://www.hku.hk/adqa, present his/her HKID card or passport, and submit a photocopy of the HKID card or passport, a recent passport size colour photo (with plain background for the Student Registration Card) and in the case of non-JUPAS candidates, a copy of the Offer of Admission letter to the Academic Development and Quality Assurance Section of the Registry for collection of his/her HKU Portal account and registration documents;

(b) use the login details for the HKU Portal to gain access to the online system and complete the online registration either at home or in one of the PC laboratories located at 1/F, Run Run Shaw Building or 1/F, Library Building (Old Wing) of the Information Technology Services; and

(c) complete and return other registration documents within 5 days of receiving the registration folder and attending other registration procedures by the dates specified.

Students are strongly advised to complete the online registration procedures mentioned above as soon as possible so as to facilitate collection of the Student Registration Card and/or any application(s) for admission to residential halls or other study facilities.
